KRALENDIJK – The Stray Cat Project Bonaire has already treated 303 stray cats. This is a milestone for the project, which only launched in September 2025.
Through the so-called TNR programme Trap-Neuter-Return, stray cats are caught, sterilised and returned to their familiar location. As early as March 2026, the threshold of 300 treated animals was passed.
The project focuses exclusively on stray cats, not on pet cats. To avoid confusion among cat owners, the organisation distributes flyers in the neighbourhoods where it is active.
Report stray cats
Residents who spot stray cats in their neighbourhood can report them via the website tnrbonaire.com. This allows the organisation to map the population and take targeted action.
