
THE VALLEY, Anguilla - The Government of Anguilla has announced changes to the leadership of the Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB), including the appointment of Sean Richard as the new Chairman of the Board effective June 1, 2026.
Richard succeeds Cecile Amelia Vanterpool-Kubisch, whose tenure as Chairperson has been reduced as part of the leadership transition. She will remain a member of the Board of Directors.
The Anguilla Tourist Board also announced the appointment of Lockhart Hughes as a new Board Director.
According to the ATB, the changes form part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, strategic oversight and the long-term development of Anguilla’s tourism sector.
Minister of Health, Tourism and Sports Cardigan Connor thanked Vanterpool-Kubisch for her leadership and contributions during her tenure as Chairperson, while describing the appointments as an important step in supporting the continued growth and competitiveness of Anguilla’s tourism industry.
Experience
Richard brings more than 20 years of experience in tourism and luxury hospitality management and currently serves as General Manager of Altamer Luxury Villas. Hughes currently serves as General Manager of Carimar Beach Club and previously served on the Anguilla Tourist Board between 2017 and 2019.
