Six New Civil Servants Sworn In on St. Eustatius

ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – Six new civil servants officially began their duties within the Statia Government on Wednesday after taking the oath of office during a ceremony attended by government officials.

The new appointments include Alfredo Pantophlet as Project Leader Social Housing, Aldith Williams as Financial Administrative Employee and Sherman George as Project Manager Infrastructure. Grentnall Euson was appointed as Administrative Employee within the Personnel and Organisation department, while Julio Roosberg joined the Seaport as an all-round employee. Yvonne Havenga was sworn in as Project Leader for the Nature and Environment Policy Programme (NEPP).

During the ceremony, Island Governor Alida Francis congratulated the new civil servants and emphasized the importance of integrity, responsibility and dedication in public service. She also encouraged cooperation and teamwork within the organisation.

Commissioner Rechelline Leerdam, who is responsible for Personnel and Organisation, also addressed the group and stressed the importance of unity in the workplace, stating that teamwork and collaboration are essential in achieving positive results for the community.
