KRALENDIJK – The Maritime Safety Open Day at the North Pier drew large crowds on Saturday. Particularly striking was the high turnout of children and parents who came to take a look at the various emergency and safety services on Bonaire.
During the open day, multiple safety agencies were present to explain their work on and around the water. Visitors were able to learn about safety, rescue operations, and the day-to-day deployment of services on the island.
Alongside the informational stands, the demonstrations proved especially popular with the public. Various services showed how they respond to emergencies and rescue operations, drawing significant interest from crowds along the quayside.
