DÜSSELDORF / WILLEMSTAD – Travel company Corendon will offer direct flights from Düsseldorf Airport to Curaçao during the upcoming winter season, according to reports in Dutch media.

The route is set to launch on 14 December 2026, with three weekly flights operated by Spanish airline World2Fly using an Airbus A330. It remains unclear whether some flights will include a stopover in Bonaire, or whether all flights will operate as a non-stop service to Curaçao.

Corendon currently flies between Amsterdam Schiphol and Curaçao in combination with Bonaire, but the company is now placing greater emphasis on departures from Germany. The reason is that aviation tax from the Netherlands will rise significantly in 2027, while the tax on long-haul flights from Germany is set to decrease.

Düsseldorf Airport, located close to the Dutch border, is popular among Dutch travellers due to lower ticket prices and far cheaper parking options than in the Netherlands.

The development also marks the return of flights between Düsseldorf and Curaçao for the first time since Air Berlin discontinued the route in 2017 following the airline’s bankruptcy.
