THE VALLEY- Anguilla officially opened its new Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport terminal last week, marking an important milestone for the island’s aviation and tourism sectors. The opening ceremony was held inside the newly completed terminal and highlighted years of planning, construction and investment in improved air transport infrastructure.
The new terminal is designed to strengthen Anguilla’s international air connectivity and enhance the travel experience for visitors. Improved facilities are expected to support tourism growth and make the island more attractive to international carriers, while also benefiting local airlines that have long provided essential air services.
Aviation pioneers
During the ceremony, several aviation pioneers were recognised for their contributions to the development of aviation in Anguilla, underlining the island’s long-standing efforts to build and sustain its own air transport sector.
