19 students and 8 teachers from Liseo Boneriano obtain Cambridge English certificate at highest level
KRALENDIJK - Nineteen students and eight teachers from Liseo Boneriano have obtained an official Cambridge English certificate, four of them at the prestigious C2 level, the highest proficiency level of the English language worldwide. The certificates were presented during a festive ceremony at the school.
Participants from mavo, havo and vwo were tested on speaking, listening, writing and Use of English. Liseo Boneriano is thereby the only school in the Caribbean where students from all educational departments achieve the highest Cambridge levels. The lessons were taught throughout the entire school year by native speaker Jasmin Divine.
“Cambridge English is more than a qualification, at times, it felt like a test of patience and survival. And they didn’t just improve their English, they went through it, got over it, and came out on top. Language isn’t about perfection, it is about connection. They absolutely nailed it!” said teacher Jasmin Divine.
