AMSTERDAM - WeConnect Foundation will have a new program manager starting September 1st. Pam Evertsz will take over the daily management from Tanja Fraai, who is passing the torch to her successor.
The board is satisfied with the application process. "With the arrival of Pam Evertsz, the foundation once again gets a driven and connecting program manager who will professionally lead the daily operations of the team of talented young Caribbean professionals," says chairman Gilbert Isabella.
Experience with aviation internships
Evertsz already works for WeConnect as project leader of the aviation internship program Cari-Aire. The foundation is executing this pilot program this year on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure & Water Management. According to the board, she has set up and implemented the project with great initiative.
Previously, Evertsz worked as program manager of TOP Bonaire and as senior business operations advisor at the Dutch Caribbean Government Service on Bonaire. In these roles, she proved to be a strategic and tactical manager with vision for developing Caribbean talent in the Netherlands.
Building bridges
"WeConnect builds bridges by putting trust, connection and talent development at the center; values that suit me well as a Caribbean public administration professional, program manager and community builder," says Evertsz.
"I look forward to working together with the team to further build an organization that supports, strengthens and makes Caribbean talent visible."
Departing program manager Fraai has full confidence in WeConnect’s future under Evertsz’s leadership. "Pam and WeConnect have been connected for years through our shared passion to bring Caribbean talent back to the islands. She knows her way around both on the islands and with the ministries in The Hague, which form the financial foundation of our foundation."
