KRALENDIJK — Starting Friday, June 5, 2026, fuel prices on Bonaire will rise significantly. Gasoline and diesel will become 19 and 24 cents more expensive per liter, respectively. The government points to rising purchase prices on the international market as the cause.
The price of gasoline (Mogas 95) will increase from USD 1.45 to USD 1.64 per liter. Diesel is rising even more sharply: from USD 1.33 to USD 1.57 per liter — an increase of no less than 24 cents.
In making this price adjustment, the government applied the rules from the 2022 Temporary Decree on the reduction of Caribbean Netherlands excise duties, and the tax legislation of December 2022 (Tax Plan 2023).
