ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius — The St. Eustatius Tourism Development Foundation (STDF) is promoting the island to Canadian travellers aged 55 and older at the 55+ Lifestyle Travel Show in Ottawa on September 25 and 26.
STDF board president Ebelene Schmidt-Hinds is representing the island, highlighting its history, diving and nature activities. The foundation aims to attract visitors and establish contacts with Canadian travel partners.
Tourism director Maya Pandt said the target audience’s interest in heritage, local communities and nature aligns with the island’s tourism offering.
The promotion also comes ahead of the 250th anniversary of the First Salute on November 16, which STDF is highlighting as a reason to visit St. Eustatius this year.
