KRALENDIJK – The European Union has opened a new call for proposals for projects that contribute to the sustainable management of the natural capital of the Caribbean countries and overseas territories. Organisations on Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten and Saint-Barthélemy are eligible to submit proposals.

The call has been issued by the Delegation of the European Union to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean States and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, and is financed from the European Union budget. The programme aims to strengthen the sustainable management of nature and biodiversity on the islands involved.

Interested organisations can submit their project proposals until 28 August 2026. On 23 June, the European Union will also host an online information session to explain the scheme.

The full terms and guidelines for applicants are available through the European funding portals and from the European Union delegation in Barbados.
