KRALENDIJK – On June 4, the Public Entity Bonaire (PEB) and the General Union of Government Personnel (ABVO) organized a Day of Reflection for PEB employees at the ABVO building.
The day was divided into a morning and an afternoon session. Employees reflected on the core of being a civil servant: the rights and responsibilities that come with it, the service to Bonairean society, and the significant impact their work can have on it. The support that ABVO can provide was also discussed.
The Lieutenant Governor delivered a welcome address during the morning session, while Deputy Joselito Statia opened the afternoon session. In addition, Nereida Gonzalez and Ferina (Roosje) van der Hoek gave inspiring presentations, inviting participants to reflect and engage in dialogue with one another.
Awareness and union membership
The OLB places great value on creating moments of reflection and development for its employees. At the end of the gathering, employees who were not yet members were given the opportunity to register with ABVO.
