ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – Golden Rock Resort recently hosted the exclusive premiere of “The SIX – Discovering Dutch Caribbean Nature,” a new six-part documentary series highlighting the unique ecosystems of the Dutch Caribbean islands.

The event took place at the resort’s Atrium and brought together invited guests, partners and members of the WOW! The Nature Film production team. During the afternoon, attendees viewed several documentaries from the series, followed by a question-and-answer session and reception.

The project explores the natural beauty and environmental importance of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, St. Eustatius and St. Maarten through cinematography focused on nature conservation and sustainability.

St. Eustatius features prominently in the series, including attention for the Quill volcano, the island’s marine park, Zeelandia Beach and surrounding waters that form part of humpback whale migration routes.

Golden Rock Resort partnered with the WOW! project and supported the production on St. Eustatius through hospitality and logistical cooperation.

Resort owner Peter Barnhoorn said the island’s “rare and untouched beauty” deserves both international attention and protection, adding that tourism and conservation should go hand in hand.
