Meet & Greet Bonairian Writers brings together literature, culture and community on Bonaire

KRALENDIJK – On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, writers, readers, artists and culture enthusiasts will come together for the Meet & Greet Bonairian Writers: an evening dedicated to storytelling, creativity and cultural connection on Bonaire.
The evening will be opened by MC and writer Arjen de Wolff, who will welcome the audience and introduce the programme. The event is made possible by a collective of writers, the Terramar Museum community programme Kòfi i Kultura and the Across The Isles Foundation.
During the evening, visitors will get a glimpse into new literary work by various authors from the community. Arjen de Wolff will open with a reading from his book in progress, followed by a literary presentation by Wilco Harpers.
In addition, Radinka Ustasia, publisher of Maanarak of Grey, will give a presentation on publishing, writing and new creative projects in the literary sector. Later in the evening, Angliet Badjoe will read an excerpt from her new book Beg Me.
A special highlight of the evening is the interactive conversation with the audience, where attendees can speak with the writers about literature, identity, storytelling and the future of writing in the Caribbean.
As an additional part of the programme, there will be an intimate podcast space where visitors and writers can meet for an in-depth conversation about stories with the special guests. Visitors can record short podcasts and share their personal stories. This space is made possible by the International Council of Museums as part of International Museum Day 2026.
The evening will close with a performance by young talent Nishantaly Molina, followed by an informal drinks reception and networking moment where visitors and creatives can get to know each other further.
