KRALENDIJK – Throughout the month of May, the Bonaire Public Library is organizing a full month of workshops for residents aged 60 and older. Various activities are taking place throughout the month in which the community is invited to participate.
On Wednesday morning, the program was officially opened at the Sentro di Mario Nikiboko, where the first workshop also took place.
"Today we organized an activity together with Akseso. Throughout the entire month, various activities are being held as part of the campaign, spread across the neighborhoods of Bonaire. There is painting, drawing, and a poetry presentation," said Danique Verkerk, basic skills program coordinator at the Library.
On May 30, the closing event will take place in the form of a Makerspace Festival, at the Bonaire Public Library itself. Those interested can still sign up to participate in this month’s activities.
