THE BOTTOM- The rollout of new ATM facilities on Saba has taken a step forward, with two of the four planned machines installed at the Juancho E. Irausquin Airport and Fort Bay Harbor. The ATMs are not yet operational; testing and final technical and contractual arrangements are scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.

The remaining two ATMs will be installed once construction of their locations in The Bottom and Windwardside is completed. Authorities aim for all four machines to be fully operational in the first half of the year. Similar ATM facilities are also being introduced on St. Eustatius, as part of a broader effort to improve access to cash and financial services on the two smallest BES islands.

In addition to the ATMs, secure deposit boxes for business use will be introduced at locations in The Bottom and Windwardside. These units have already arrived on Saba and will undergo testing, with the service also expected to become available in the first half of the year.

The ATM at the airport has been placed inside the passenger hall near the entrance, while the Fort Bay machine is located inside the harbor building with roadside access. New facilities in The Bottom and Windwardside will include additional public amenities, such as restrooms and a bus stop, alongside the ATM installations.

Updates

The Public Entity promises further updates will be provided as testing progresses and the machines move closer to becoming operational.
