KRALENDIJK - On Thursday, March 13, Fundashon Alzheimer Bonaire presented the Dementia Monitor Bonaire 2025 report to Commissioner of Public Health, Nina den Heyer.
The report results from a study launched in June 2024, conducted in collaboration with Alzheimer Nederland and the research institute Nivel.
The research focused on caregivers of individuals with dementia and was conducted both online and on paper, available in Dutch and Papiamentu. With a total of 64 respondents, the foundation is very pleased with the participation. They hope local and national authorities and healthcare partners will utilize the results to enhance the quality of dementia care on Bonaire.
