
ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – The Caribbean Netherlands Police Force (KPCN) is continuing to conduct traffic checks at various locations on St. Eustatius. The checks will take place regularly during this period, with strict action being taken against road users who violate traffic rules or whose required documents are not in order.
During one of the enforcement operations, a driver was fined for failing to pay road tax, driving without insurance, driving without a valid licence and failing to wear a helmet. The scooter was also confiscated.
Several other motorists received warnings for riding without a helmet. KPCN stressed that they will be fined if they are caught committing the same offence again.
Reminder to road users
Police are urging all road users to comply with road regulations and ensure that their driving licence, insurance and other required documents are valid and up to date.
