ORANJESTAD – Officers of the Caribbean Netherlands Police Force (KPCN) volunteered in a community cleanup on St. Eustatius on Wednesday.
The officers collected litter along Cottageweg, Sandy Road and Parallel Road, as well as at several other locations. The waste included beer and plastic bottles, cans, cardboard, plastic bags and discarded clothing.
By the end of the cleanup, the officers had filled more than ten bags with roadside waste.
According to KPCN, the initiative reflects the officers’ involvement in the community beyond their regular responsibility for public order and safety. The cleanup was intended to help keep the island clean, safe and pleasant for residents.
