
KRALENDIJK – Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared preliminary tourism figures for the month of May 2026, showing that Bonaire received 15,201 staying visitors. This represents an increase of 1.6% compared to May 2025, when 14,962 visitors arrived on the island. Last month, the figures showed a slight decline — something the island had not been accustomed to for a very long time.
Visitors from the Netherlands made up the largest group, accounting for 43.3% of total arrivals with 6,548 visitors. Visitors from the United States formed the second largest group, representing 26.1% of arrivals with 3,966 visitors.
A total of 2,190 visitors (14.4%) came from Curaçao, followed by Germany with 307 visitors (2%), Aruba with 280 visitors (1.8%), Belgium with 201 visitors (1.3%), Brazil with 183 visitors (1.2%), Colombia with 175 visitors (1.2%), Switzerland with 150 visitors (1%), Canada with 147 visitors (1%), and the United Kingdom with 96 visitors (0.6%).
