Recently promoted Statian Winair captain Aaron Leerdam receives warm welcome at F.D. Roosevelt Airport

ORANJESTAD – Statian pilot Aaron Leerdam received a warm welcome at F.D. Roosevelt Airport on Wednesday, where family members gathered to congratulate him on his recent promotion to captain on the DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft.

Among those present were Aaron’s father, former Winair and DHL pilot Garnette Leerdam, and other relatives, marking the occasion as a proud moment for the Leerdam family and the island.

Before departing on his return flight to St. Maarten, the family took the opportunity to capture the moment with a group photo at the airport.
