Michael Lake Named First Female CFO of Princess Juliana International Airport

SIMPSON BAY – Princess Juliana International Airport Operating Company (PJIAE) has nominated Michael Lake as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), marking the first time a woman has been selected for this executive role in the company’s history.

Lake has been with PJIAE since 2009, rising through the ranks from Supervisor to Director of Finance. Her nomination follows a competitive recruitment process involving eight candidates. CEO Michael Cleaver praised her appointment, stating, “Her passion, perseverance, and commitment to PJIAE have been clear throughout her career.”

Excited

Lake, who holds degrees from the University of St. Martin, the University of the Virgin Islands, and Bowling Green State University, will begin her official duties as CFO after completing the required screening process. “I am very excited to take on this new responsibility,” she said.
