
THE BOTTOM - Jocelyn Levenstone (57) is set to become the new Island Governor of Saba. State Secretary Van der Burg nominated Levenstone in the Council of Ministers. His appointment takes effect on July 1, 2026.
Levenstone was born on Saba and has an extensive career in security and public administration. From 2023 to early 2026, he served as Director of Immigration and Border Control on Sint Maarten. Prior to that, he headed the Coast Guard Support Unit on Sint Maarten from 2018 to 2023, and from 2012 to 2018 he served as Head of Safety and Security at the port.
From Officer to Island Governor
Levenstone began his career with the Netherlands Antilles Police Force, following the completion of his police training. In the years that followed, he pursued various leadership and management courses.
