KRALENDIJK – Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has recognized Carlos Mancilla Hurtado as ‘Bonaire Friend’ of the month of July, in recognition of the positive and lasting impression he left on one of Bonaire’s visitors.
Mancilla Hurtado works in the maintenance of the pool, garden and beach at Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort Bonaire. He was nominated by Esther Miedema from the Netherlands, who during her stay was able to experience his cheerful and friendly presence. In her nomination, Esther described how every morning she would see Carlos as he prepared the beach and its surroundings, singing and whistling cheerfully, creating a warm and memorable start to each day.
“Bonaire’s best ambassadors are often the people our visitors encounter on a daily basis. Carlos reminds us that it is precisely the small gestures, a smile, a little song and genuine enthusiasm, that leave the greatest impression. We are proud to recognize Carlos as ‘Bonaire Friend’ of the month of July, and we thank him for his contribution to creating unforgettable memories for our visitors,” said Elesiër Angel, director of Tourism Corporation Bonaire.
