KRALENDIJK – In recent weeks, the Caribbean Netherlands Regional Information and Expertise Center (RIEC CN) and various chain partners have conducted joint inspections at hospitality businesses, industrial sites, and other locations on Bonaire. These actions are part of an ongoing effort to combat subversive activity and strengthen oversight and law enforcement.
During large-scale inspections at hospitality venues on Kaya Dr. J.G. Hernandez, undocumented individuals were found, hygiene deficiencies were noted, and temporary closures were imposed. Additional inspections were carried out at an industrial site and garage businesses. At a carpentry company, unauthorized apartments were discovered, and a food truck was ordered to close due to the absence of its owner.
Ongoing Inspections
At hospitality establishments on Bulevar Gobernador N. Debrot, employees were checked for valid residency documentation, and fire safety compliance was assessed. These inspections will continue on a regular basis, with a focus on both enforcement and prevention to safeguard the integrity of the Caribbean Netherlands.
