Construction of solar panel structure at Flamingo Airport progressing satisfactorily

KRALENDIJK – Over the past week, work continued on the preparatory activities for the construction of the solar park at parking lot P1 of Flamingo Airport. Now that the foundation has been completed, the structures on which the solar panels will be installed are being put in place.

The work is mainly taking place in the evening hours, so that parking spaces remain available during the day as much as possible.

In the coming weeks, the structures will become increasingly visible. With this project, Bonaire International Airport (BIA) aims to become less dependent on conventional energy by combining solar energy generation with shaded parking for cars.
