KRALENDIJK – Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) wants to attract more tourists from Brazil to Bonaire. To that end, the tourism organization has entered into a three-month trial cooperation agreement with Linking Brothers, a company focused on the Brazilian travel market.

According to TCB, Brazil offers interesting growth opportunities. In the first eight months of 2026, 1,049 Brazilians visited Bonaire, an increase of 44 percent compared to the same period last year. About a third came primarily to dive, while six in ten visitors were visiting Bonaire for the first time.

Notably, this growth is happening without a direct flight connection between Brazil and Bonaire. In addition, Brazilians tend to travel relatively often in May and July, months that are usually quieter on the island.

The partnership starts with a webinar for Brazilian travel agencies, followed by targeted promotional campaigns and contacts with local providers of diving activities, ecotourism and small-scale accommodations.

By tapping into new markets, TCB aims to reduce its dependence on existing tourist source countries. After the trial period, it will be assessed whether the cooperation will be continued.
