ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – Residents of St. Eustatius will face overnight water interruptions for the next three nights as utility company STUCO deals with reduced water production capacity.

In a notice issued Sunday, STUCO announced that water supplies across the island will be shut off from 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, until approximately 5 a.m. on Monday, October 12. According to STUCO, similar restrictions are expected on the two following nights.

The company said two of its four water production plants are currently out of service. One of the larger plants is experiencing technical problems, while a smaller facility has been temporarily shut down to accommodate the installation of a new water plant.
