KRALENDIJK – Bonairean sailor Rocquí Martis has received financial support from the EYoung Talent Fonds op Naam for his development project Pebble in Motion. The fund was established by Ernst & Young Dutch Caribbean, in collaboration with EY Cares, and is managed by the Cultuurfonds Caribisch Gebied.
With the contribution, Martis can invest in training and coaching to further develop as a competitive sailor. The project Pebble in Motion combines sporting achievements with personal development and the preservation of Caribbean maritime heritage. Additionally, his journey will be documented through images and stories to inspire other young people.
According to the initiators, the support helps Martis prepare for a higher international competitive level and the project contributes to the promotion of sailing among young people.
