
THE BOTTOM, Saba — Members of Saba’s Filipino community came together to celebrate the 128th Philippine Independence Day, honoring the bravery, sacrifice and patriotism of the heroes who fought for the nation’s freedom.
In a message shared by the Filipino Community of Saba, the occasion was described as a reminder of the strength, resilience and unity that continue to define Filipinos around the world. The community emphasized that, despite being far from their homeland, their connection to the Philippines remains strong.
The celebration also highlighted the importance of preserving Filipino culture, traditions and values while fostering solidarity among Filipinos living on Saba.
Organizers expressed gratitude to a number of local businesses and individuals who supported the event, including Unique Supermarket, Amonhana Restaurant, Juliana’s & Tropics Café, The Hideaway Bar & Grill, Brigadoon Restaurant, Do It Best–HES Home & Hardware, Arawak Hotel, and several community members.
