KRALENDIJK - A large-scale search operation was launched on Friday, June 12, at the Sorobon/Lac Cai bay on Bonaire. At around 3:15 PM, the central emergency dispatch received a report that a person had entered the sea and had not returned.
Meerdere diensten ingezet
Police, the Royal Military Police (Koninklijke Marechaussee), STINAPA, the Coast Guard, and a group of volunteers were deployed to the area to search for the missing person. At the time of publication, the person had not yet been found.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed anything or has information that could assist in the search to make contact as soon as possible. This can be done by calling emergency number 911, phone number 715-8000, or the anonymous tip line 9310.
