Sixteen New Coast Guard Officers for the Caribbean Coast Guard

KRALENDIJK – Sixteen recruits of the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard successfully completed their training and officially received their Junior Coast Guard Crew Member (JBK) diplomas last Friday at Parera Naval Base. The diplomas were presented by Coast Guard Director Walter Hansen and ORV Director Alpha Falbru.

After more than a year of intensive training, the new officers are now fully operational and will soon be stationed at Coast Guard support units on St. Maarten, Aruba and Curaçao.

Training

The program of the new Coastguard employees. included both theoretical courses, such as criminal law and nautical studies, and practical training in seamanship, firearms skills and boarding procedures.
