ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – A new legal consultancy has officially opened its doors on Sint Eustatius. On Saturday evening, Columba Legal & Mediation Consultancy launched its new office at Kapelweg 4 during a well-attended opening reception.

Founder and director Monique Lundh, who previously worked for the Public Entity St. Eustatius, said the aim of the new practice is to bring legal support closer to the community and reduce long waiting times for advice. Lundh emphasised that behind every ordinance or policy there are “people and their daily challenges,” and that she hopes to offer more direct and accessible assistance.

The new office will provide legal advice in areas such as labour matters, family issues and contracts. The firm will also offer mediation services to individuals and organisations, and support public bodies and companies with governance and procedural guidance.

Appreciation

During the opening, Lundh expressed her appreciation for the support of the Public Entity, local organisations, clients, colleagues and family members. The evening concluded with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, marking the formal opening of the office.
