ORANJESTAD, ST. EUSTATIUS — The Government of St. Eustatius is calling on residents, businesses and community organisations to join an island-wide clean-up and beautification campaign beginning the week of 29 September 2026.

Clean-up services will be provided in different districts on a weekly rotational basis, giving residents the opportunity to dispose of unwanted and bulk materials that have accumulated in and around their properties. Details on collection dates, eligible materials and arrangements will be announced separately.

Residents are encouraged to use the campaign to clean their yards, remove unwanted items, trim overgrown areas and improve the appearance of their surroundings.

The initiative comes ahead of several major end-of-year activities and an expected increase in visitors, but Government stresses that the campaign is about more than preparing for tourism. A clean and well-maintained environment contributes to the health, safety and well-being of the Statia community.

Homeowners who are able to do so are also encouraged to refresh or paint their homes where needed. Where possible, assistance will be provided to paint the homes of vulnerable residents, particularly elderly persons, provided they can supply the required paint and materials. Further details will be announced separately.

The Government is calling on the entire community to take part and help keep Statia clean, healthy and attractive.
