ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – A group of teenagers took part in a Back to School Sunset Hike on St. Eustatius, combining outdoor recreation with learning about the island’s natural environment.
During the hike, organized with the involvement of the St. Eustatius Sports Facilities Foundation and Stenapa, participants explored the trail under the guidance of Naihla Schmidt. Activities included a scratch-off challenge, identifying and learning about birds, listening to sounds in nature and discovering different creatures along the route.
The Sports Facilities Foundation described the evening as an opportunity for adventure and learning while encouraging young people to connect with the outdoors. The organization thanked Schmidt and Stenapa for their contribution to the activity.
