KRALENDIJK - Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) is organizing a scavenger hunt for children for the fourth time as part of Tourism Month in September. The scavenger hunt will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, between 10:00 and 12:00 in the area around Rincon City. A bus will run from Playa to Rincon to transport participants.
Children between 8 and 12 years old can participate. To join, they must form a group of 5 children, accompanied by an adult of 21 years or older. Participation is completely free, but requires filling out a registration form at TCB. The registration deadline is Friday, September 11, 2026.
Each group must present a costume design made from local fruit upon registration. This design must be worked out on the fabric they will be wearing. There is a prize to be won for the best design.
The scavenger hunt passes various tourist and historical locations and areas, with activities at each stop. Afterwards, all participants will receive a lunch at Kos Bon So and a goodie bag as a gift from TCB.
The group with the most points that finishes within the allotted time wins the scavenger hunt. The winners will be announced in order: third place, second place, and then the overall winner. There are attractive prizes to be won, which will be presented during Taste of Bonaire on Saturday, September 26, where Tourism Month concludes.
