KRALENDIJK- From August 11 to 14, 2026, Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB), together with Sorobon Luxury Beach Resort, carried out a sales mission in Toronto. The mission took place in anticipation of the resumption of direct WestJet flights between Toronto and Bonaire for the 2026–2027 winter season.

Canada has grown into one of the five most important stay-over markets for Bonaire. Arrivals rose from 3,437 in 2023 to 5,248 in 2025, a growth of approximately 53%. "Our focus is not only on filling the flights this winter, but also on building sustainable demand and creating the conditions needed to maintain this route", said Eliesier Angel, director of TCB.

During the mission, the delegation visited the Canadian Meetings and Events Expo (CMEE), held meetings with WestJet and Sunwing, and organized a Bonaire-inspired dinner in live-cooking style led by chef Giovannie Veld. Prizes were raffled among more than 25 travel advisors and agents — including a return flight with WestJet and stays at Sorobon Bay Hotel and Delfins Beach Resort.
