WINDWARDSIDE – The newly renovated Scouts Place, now operating under the name Scenery Hotel, welcomed its first paying guests on Sunday.
The arrival of these guests marks the start of a soft-opening phase, which will be followed by an official opening ceremony at a later date. The opening comes after an extended renovation period carried out by the property’s owner, the Pension Fund Caribbean Netherlands (PCN). The project included a significant expansion of the hotel, with the number of rooms more than doubling, the addition of several freestanding cottages, and the construction of a completely new reception and restaurant area.
Important boost
The redevelopment of the property is regarded as an important boost for Saba’s tourism sector, as it represents a substantial increase in the island’s available hotel capacity.
