KRALENDIJK – Although the month of April is mostly known for the spotlight on Dia di Rincon, in recent years the Dia di Antriol has also become an annual moment to honor the culture and traditions of the Antriol neighborhood.

The event, organized by Fundashon Antriol Avanti, once again brought together members of the community along with local leaders, including Island Governor John Soliano, members of the Island Council, and commissioners Clark Abraham and Anjelica Cicilia.

The celebration highlighted the importance of Antriol as a neighborhood that makes a significant cultural and social contribution to Bonaire. One of the emotional highlights was the tribute to Calixto Coffi, a respected musician and composer who dedicated his life to music. Through his work with Grupo Kandela, Trio Los Príncipes, and other groups, Coffi showcased the musical talent that Antriol has produced.

Sense of Unity

With music, toasts, and cultural activities, the day concluded with a powerful message of unity: “Huntu nos ta fuerte!” (Together we are strong). Once again, the celebration emphasized the close bonds within the community and the vital role Antriol plays in preserving Bonaire’s culture and traditions.
