ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – Residents of St. Eustatius looking to build a career in the automotive sector have until May 6 to sign up for a six-month hands-on training programme — complete with a monthly stipend.
The Department of Labour is offering the course free of charge to a limited number of participants. Training focuses on practical automotive skills, and those selected will receive financial support throughout the programme.
Registration is open in person at the Department of Labour, Monday to Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The deadline is May 6, 2026.
Why it matters
Vocational training opportunities on St. Eustatius are scarce. The programme is part of broader efforts to tackle the island’s skills gap and connect residents with hands-on work experience in a trade that is in demand locally.
