KRALENDIJK — The Special Task Force (GBO), assisted by the maritime unit of the Dutch Caribbean Police Force (KPCN), arrested a 31-year-old man aboard a boat at sea on Thursday morning.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of violating the BES Firearms Act, making threats and committing public violence. The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into an assault that took place on October 10, 2025.
House searches
Two house searches were carried out in connection with the arrest, one at a property in the Den Tera neighbourhood and one in Hato. Neither search yielded material relevant to the investigation. The case remains under active investigation.
