KRALENDIJK — Anyone who wants to race the trails of Bonaire on September 27 can now register for DUO XTREME Bonaire 2026. The mountain bike race once again features two participation formats this year, each with its own route and registration link.
Participants who want to compete alongside a teammate can register for the DUO XTREME and choose between the Elite distance of 75 kilometers and the Pro distance of 55 kilometers. The minimum age for this race is 16 years and the entry fee is $50 per team. Registration is available at timing.events/Event/Index?id=132.
Those who prefer to ride solo can take part in the FUN route of 35 kilometers. This route has no separate categories and is open to riders from 14 years of age. The entry fee is $25 per participant. Registration for the FUN route is available at timing.events/Event/Index?id=133.
Both races start at 6:30 in the morning.
Classification of the duo categories
In the DUO race, three factors determine the category: the distance ridden, the combined age of both riders on race day, and the composition of the team. A distance of 75 kilometers falls under Elite, 55 kilometers under Pro. The combined age distinguishes teams aged 32 to 99 from teams aged 100 and older. The team composition determines whether a team competes in the men’s, women’s, or mixed category.
The category "Elite Mix – Combined Age 32-99", for example, refers to a mixed duo riding the 75-kilometer Elite race with a combined age of under one hundred years.
The organization urges enthusiasts to find a teammate in time and choose one of the two routes. DUO XTREME Bonaire 2026 takes place on Sunday, September 27.
