ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada – The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) has approved a major financing package to support the installation of a utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System at Maurice Bishop International Airport.
The project aims to strengthen Grenada’s electricity grid, improve energy security and support greater use of renewable energy.
Funding includes grants from the European Union and the United Kingdom, a US$5.7 million Canadian loan, while the World Bank is providing parallel financing for related grid upgrades.
