
THE HAGUE/KRALENDIJK – A delegation from the Island Council of Bonaire has over the past few days paid working visits to several key institutions in the Netherlands.
The programme included meetings with the Council of State, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), and Director-General Isabel Arends, focusing on environmental pollution, prevention, remediation and implementation plans for Bonaire.
In addition, visits were made to the Kingdom Relations Committee (KOREL) of the Senate, a joint public session of the Kingdom Relations and Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) committees in the House of Representatives, the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG), and the Ministry of Finance.
During these meetings, various current dossiers and important issues for Bonaire were central to the discussions.
