ORANJESTAD – The Government of St. Eustatius has opened the Regional Deal Office, marking a key milestone in the implementation of the Regional Deal: Statia 2026 programme. The new office, located at Hill Compound on Fort Oranjestraat, will serve as the central hub for coordinating regional development projects and engaging with the community.
Led by newly appointed Programme Managers Raimie Richardson and Nicole Asin, the office will oversee a range of initiatives aimed at sustainable development, cultural preservation, and improved social and economic resilience. These include the restoration of Fort Oranje as a museum and public space, the creation of a National Memorial Park honouring enslaved ancestors, and the revival of the Madam Theatre as a cultural venue.
Additional projects in development include a new Integrated Healthcare Facility and the revitalisation of the island’s botanical gardens. The Regional Deal, launched in January 2025, is a collaborative effort between the Statia Government and the Government of the Netherlands.
Welcome
The public is welcome to visit the office Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for updates, questions, or to share feedback.
