KRALENDIJK – Unknown perpetrators opened fire on a residence in Kaya Kuarta at approximately 10:45 PM last night, according to police. Two people sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance. A dog did not survive the attack.
Ten minutes later, at around 10:55 PM, a witness reported an explosion and a car on fire on Kaminda Lac. Upon arrival, the vehicle turned out to be a pick-up truck. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.
Both incidents are under investigation. Whether the two events are connected remains unclear.
