ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius — The recent Statia Bird Festival brought together residents of all ages for a series of lively and educational activities, with a particularly strong involvement from young people across the island.

Organised by Stenapa, the festival featured events such as a Community Flock Walk, bird trail activities and hands-on learning experiences focused on Statia’s birdlife. New signage along the bird trail was also unveiled, highlighting local species and conservation efforts.

The event was marked by vibrant scenes, including children dressed as birds, creative displays and interactive sessions that encouraged participants to learn more about the island’s unique biodiversity.
