She outlined fourteen risk factors and emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle, both for older adults and for younger generations.

Those in attendance actively shared their own experiences and asked questions, reflecting a clear sense of engagement with the subject. In addition to UPKH members, their guests were also present at the morning session.
The event ties in with the workshop series "Becoming Dementia-Friendly on Bonaire", which FAB has been organizing over the past several months for staff at various businesses and banks across the island.
Materials for Members
FAB and the UPKH board agreed that the foundation will make materials available, so that members who were unable to attend on Saturday can still receive the information.
Winklaar thanked the members for their attendance and interest, and expressed her appreciation for the invitation extended by UPKH vice-chair Cicilia. According to Winklaar, the gathering provided a valuable opportunity to open up the conversation about dementia on Bonaire.
