Planning and Development Directorate seeks input for update of building regulations Bonaire

KRALENDIJK – On Thursday, October 1, the Planning and Development Directorate held a meeting with architects, construction designers and other professionals about the building regulations on Bonaire. The Directorate is working on an update of these regulations and wants to hear which questions and problem areas professionals encounter in practice.

During an earlier information session, participants indicated that they need more clarity about the building regulations. For this reason, the Planning and Development Directorate organized a separate meeting on the topic. Participants were able to ask questions, discuss examples from their work and indicate which regulations, in their view, need clarification or adjustment.

The Planning and Development Directorate will include the questions and points of attention collected in the further update of the building regulations. The Directorate is also looking at how it can provide information about construction and permits in a clearer way. In this regard, the Directorate remains in dialogue with professionals from the sector.
