KRALENDIJK — The Public Entity Bonaire (OLB) has appointed Edwin Galle as Head of the Finance Department, effective 15 January 2026. The appointment comes at a time when the OLB has been facing sustained criticism over its financial procedures and internal controls. The preparation of the 2026 budget also proved challenging, as it was only approved shortly before Christmas by the College for Financial Supervision (CFT) and the State Secretary for the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
Galle succeeds interim manager Reginald Carolina, who temporarily filled the position. He has been residing on Bonaire since September 2024 and brings extensive experience as a finance director and registered controller, including roles with international companies and local institutions.
Professionalisation
According to the OLB, Galle’s appointment is expected to contribute to further professionalisation and increased stability within the Finance Department.
